What is the metaverse?
The metaverse might not sound like your thing…. A techy buzzword attached to some dystopian virtual meeting space.
But the idea is bigger, older and more impactful than headlines let on. It’s unfolding all around you and likely here to stay.
We like to think of the metaverse as a time, instead of a place.

The exact definition is still up for debate, but we see the metaverse as a time containing all digital mediums; all screens and social media, simulated and augmented realities, cyber-currencies and algorithms, AI’s and deep fakes.
It’s a tipping point, when digital assets and experiences carry equal, if not more, value than physical ones. It’s when the divide between the physical and virtual world blurs almost completely.
The metaverse may take final form as an avatar-inhabited virtual space, but there are many steps on the path to full immersion. Parts of our lives and selves are already inseparable from the internet.
